Joe Self Cadillac hosts

the Central Plains Region

of the

Cadillac-LaSalle Club

June, 2004

The Central Plains Region of the CLC was honored to be hosted by Joe Self Cadillac in East Wichita for a show of members' cars.  The weather wasn't great, but the turnout of cars and the warm hospitality of Joe Self and his staff more than made up for the sprinkles!

Inside the showroom, the Club featured four of its cars along with several of Cadillac's latest offerings.

Mrs. Carey's Cadillac was one of the showroom queens.

It is interesting to reflect on how much our understanding of the world has changed in the brief span of history represented by these cars.  They really are examples of the rapid advances in science and knowledge!

"Science may be likened to a mirror wherein the images of the mysteries of outer phenomena are reflected. It brings forth and exhibits to us in the arena of knowledge all the product of the past. It links together past and present. The philosophical conclusions of bygone centuries, the teachings of the prophets and wisdom of former sages are crystallized and reproduced in the scientific advancement of today. Science is the discoverer of the past. From its premises of past and present we deduce conclusions as to the future. Science is the governor of nature and its mysteries, the one agency by which man explores the institutions of material creation."
